African Heritage UK (AHUK) was set up to continue the legacy of African people’s dance in the UK through education and training. We exist to raise the profile of African dance as an integral part of the UK’s cultural sector and creative industries, and have developed an agency to promote and employ artists with skills in African & Caribbean dance and music.

Preparation is key in everything we do. We ensure that our members are professional and that we are strategic in our approach.
TRAINING
Our masterclass sessions provide you with experience, technique and background of African and Caribbean dance and music, delivered by some of the most experienced practitioners in the field.
HEALTH AND WELLBEING
African Dance is well known for it’s numerous health & wellbeing benefits such as increased circulation and flexibility. Our Afro-Aerobics classes offer a warm and friendly atmosphere to exercise, socialise and have fun.
Maybe the gym workouts aren’t for you… or you want to start or continue your fitness journey with something a little different. We enable you to connect with your bodies and the drum with a mixture of traditional African and Caribbean movements; creating an overall feeling of wellbeing. Sessions include a warm-up, constant movements and a cool-down. We make sure to break down movements so you are never left behind!
This class doesn’t focus on dancing ability; we want to improve fitness levels and have fun. Suitable for all ages, all you need is a positive spirit!
