ROOTS 40+ PROGRAMME
ROOTS 40+ programme provides insight into the stories of Black artists who have made a significant contribution to the UK cultural sector by practicing their art forms for more than 40 years!
These have been documented in a series of online interviews, featuring artists based in London, Bristol, Birmingham and Liverpool, with intention showing the significant impact their work has made on the UK cultural landscape.
A ROOTS 40+ campaign has started to raise funds to produce a documentary film of the journeys of Black artists, the unsung heroes in the sector, who have been practising (and in some cases still practising) since the 70’s.
